BARRY T. KATES
A thirty five year resident of South Florida and graduate from the University of Miami, Barry began his career by working for one of the top ten Anheuser Busch distributors in the country, focusing on brand integration, and marketing to UM students to create brand loyalty. During that 13 year relationship, he was responsible for all South Florida on premise account business, marketing, branding, special events, all sports teams/properties and venues. He also led the initiatives for national events in South Florida which included three NFL Super Bowls, the BCS College Football Championships, the NBA All-Star game and other high profile events.

Barry was then instrumental in helping to build the Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS), one of the premier racing facilities in the country, which now plays host to the Super Bowl of auto racing in crowning the Sprint Cup NASCAR Champion. Barry then moved on to become the Vice President of Sales for Clear Results Marketing for three years, before launching his own Marketing, Event and VIP Hospitality Agency. Over the past 15 years, Innovative Marketing Group and Innovative Events has catered to the most respected names in business such as the NFL, American Express, Turner Broadcasting (TNT Sports), AOL, FedEx, NBC, ADT Security Services, ESPN, Diageo and Chase.

Through one of Barry’s night club clients, he garnered his interest in the hospitality business and for the past ten years has enjoyed successful experience in the nightlife and restaurant industry throughout South Florida and Jacksonville, Florida. Barry is also involved with philanthropic causes such as the Make-A Wish Foundation, the Miami-Dade Sports Commission, the Irie Foundation and Alonzo Mourning Charities. Most notably, he became the youngest member voted to the prestigious Orange Bowl Committee (OBC) in 77 years and has continued his various OBC positions for the past 18 years. Barry is a Past President and serves on the South Florida Board of Directors for the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and a recent graduate of the Entrepreneurial Master’s Program hosted at MIT.
LOUIS J. TERMINELLO
Louis is a prominent lawyer with practice areas in hospitality, administrative law and alcoholic beverages. A 1990 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Louis is a Partner and Chair of the Hospitality, Alcohol and Leisure Industry Group in the highly respected national law firm Greenspoon Marder LLP. and also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law teaching alcohol beverage law.
Lou is also a sought after speaker and has lectured on alcoholic beverage law topics on numerous occasions. From 1979 to 1989, Lou was a Senior State Law Enforcement Investigator with the State of Florida’s Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco. Lou has also been appointed Special Counsel to US Bankruptcy Court Trustees for alcoholic beverage issues, and has been admitted as an expert witness on numerous occasions.
Louis’ expertise in the hospitality industry spans almost 40 years in the South Florida market. His numerous projects include owning and operating The Tula Group, a successful chain of restaurants located throughout South Florida, in addition to nightlife experience including owning and operating Solid Gold Nightclub in Fort Lauderdale, Martini Bar at The Shops of Sunset Place, KLUTCH Nightclub in South Beach, Martini Bar in Gulfstream Park and Martini Bar in Doral, FL.
JOE DELANEY
Joe Delaney has owned and operated well over 20 clubs and restaurants throughout South Florida since the 80’s, and became a key player in the rise of the South Beach nightlife scene.
Joe is well respected in the industry, having owned and operated The Cameo Theatre, Scratch, and in the late 90’s, Marsbar, Café Iguana, Bermuda Bar, Fat Kats and KLUTCH Nightclub in South Beach.
Joe is also partners with Barry Kates and Louis Terminello in the Martini Bar concepts, with a current location in CityPlace Doral.
Joe also ventured into the restaurant business with Rickenbacker Fish Company in Key Biscayne which helped to introduce the use of fresh locally farmed ingredients.
Joe has a keen business sense and is instrumental in scouting out new locations and properly identifying emerging new markets. His ability toforsee new trends in the industry keeps the group aimed at successful growth.
